Humberside Police have praised Mail readers for their help during
a successful festive name-and-shame campaign.
The Mail printed the names of 28 people wanted on warrants in
Hull, asking them to turn themselves in and appealing to readers for
information about them.
Offences ranged from possession of drugs to vehicle crimes and
public order offences.
Thanks to help from the public, 16 people were caught over the
festive period.
Three people handed themselves in, four were arrested based on
police intelligence and nine were picked up acting on information
from the public.
