Building work on a new pounds14-million mental health hospital has now started - seven years into a decade- long plan to get one in North East Lincolnshire.

As reported, North East Lincolnshire Council's Planning Committee approved the development to provide state-of-the-art facilities for patients suffering from a wide range of mental health problems.

The hospital, at Peaks Lane, will include two 10-bedroom community treatment units and a six-bedroom unit for patients with more severe needs, including conditions such as anorexia.

There will also be a two-storey community hub which will include a cafe, offices, a library and changing rooms for people using the nearby Ross Sports facilities, ...
