Big, buggy, salty or stinky are among the most common answers,
according to Friends of the Great Salt Lake.
"You can say yes to all of those, of course, but the lake is much
more than those things," said Weber State University geography
professor Daniel Bedford.
He should know.
Bedford, 42, taught a fall honors course - Honors 3900, the Great
Salt Lake ?which also included four field trips for the nine
students enrolled.
He was the 2008 recipient of WSU's Honors Eccles Fellowship,
designed to give the faculty opportunities to teach courses related
to their research interests.
