There is no good reason to deny Burris a Senate seat

The Roland Burris saga occurring in the U.S. Senate, to seat or
not seat, brought to mind that Mr. Burris and I served at the same
time as state attorneys general.
Each spring the state attorneys general would go to meet with the
U.S. attorney general at the Department of Justice in Washington,
D.C.
The first time Mr. Burris attempted to go through security prior
to entering the Department of Justice, he kept setting the scanner
off.
After Mr. Burris took off his coat and sorted through his
personal effects, the security guard asked him if he had any metal
implants or had any recent medical ...
