Article: Former Oklahoma U.S. Rep. Istook leads movement calling for preservation of secret ballot

A national movement to have the states adopt constitutional
language guaranteeing the right to a secret ballot in public labor
union representation elections came to Oklahoma and four other
states Wednesday.
Chaired by former Oklahoma U.S. Rep. Ernest Istook, Save Our
Secret Ballot wants each state to adopt the following language into
its constitution: "The right of individuals to vote by secret ballot
is fundamental. Where state or federal law requires elections for
public office or public votes on initiatives or referenda, or
designations or authorizations of employee representation, the right
of individuals to vote by secret ballot shall be guaranteed."
