FIFA inspection team to arrive in Nigeria

LAGOS, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) -- The World football governing body FIFA's inspection team, which will be in Nigeria to check the level of readiness of the proposed stadiums for the 2009 FIFA Under-17 World Cup slated for the country, will arrive in Lagos on Wednesday.

FIFA will start arriving in Lagos this evening and proceed immediately to the Eko Hotel and Suites, according to the Nigeria 2009 Local Organizing Committee (LOC).

FIFA Vice President, Jack Warner, who will be at the head of the team, will arrive in Lagos on Thursday, and talks with members of the LOC.

The team will begin inspection of the facilities at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos ...
