Derrick Malan

1921 ~ 2009
Derrick Malan Peake was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on July 3,
1921 to Derrick and Verdie Peake.
Derrick married Clara Nave in Salt Lake City, Utah on July 22,
1948. To this highly favored matrimony God presented six children.
Derrick was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and a veteran of
World War II. Derrick was honorably discharged from the Army branch
of the armed services on February 16, 1946. After serving his
country he found employment with Hotel Newhouse as a Waiter, Union
Pacific Railroad as a Pullman Porter, and at the Tooele Army Depot
as an Ordinance Handler Supervisor.
Derrick enjoyed reading, fishing, playing cards and watching all
