Article: No more free walks around trentham gardens lake

Visitors are to be charged to walk around the lake at Trentham Gardens.

The charge - pounds5 for adults, pounds4 for pensioners and pounds3.50 for children - comes in from late March and will cover the mile-long lake walk and Italian Gardens.

An annual adult ticket for pounds37.50 and a family ticket for two adults and three children costing pounds75 will also be available.

But walkers wanting a free stroll will have to use two walks near the monkey forest.

One visitor predicted that 90 per cent of people who walk around the lake now would go elsewhere.
