Hundreds of visitors are threatening to boycott Trentham Gardens
in protest at the admission charge to walk around the lake.
They have slammed the tourist attraction since The Sentinel
revealed Trentham's plan to charge visitors from the end of March.
The charge, pounds5 for adults, pounds4 for pensioners and
pounds3.50 for children, will cover the mile-long lake walk and
Italian Gardens.
An annual adult ticket for pounds37.50 and a family ticket for
two adults and three children costing pounds75 will also be
available.
Now one visitor has started an online petition and campaign group
on social networking website Facebook.
