Doris Skrintney, Milwaukee, sent her recipe for pickled eggs for Jay T.K. of Sugar Camp.

She wrote: "I used this recipe at our tavern, The Hutch, which was located on 18th and Euclid back in the early 1980s. I could not keep enough on hand. They were very popular. I cooked so many eggs I was dreaming eggs.

"Our customers always wanted the recipe for when they went deer hunting. I never gave it out, but I decided to share it now."

Skrintney said that she and her husband, Craig, owned the tavern and that he was the bartender.
