Homeowners have called for an inquiry into Stow-in-the-Wold
houses they claim were built three metres too high.
Neighbours of eight houses at Wells House are demanding Cotswold
District Council investigates why planning officers allowed
developers Beechcroft Ltd to flout planning conditions.
They have stepped up their battle after the district council
planning committee refused to take enforcement action.
Townspeople were dismayed when planning officer Kevin Field told
the committee it wasn't illegal for developers to go ahead with a
scheme which deviates from plans.
The committee was told to consider it as a fresh application and,
as such, if it complied with planning policies.
