North Staffs: A vital taxi service for people with mobility
problems has received pounds25,000 towards the cost of a new
vehicle.
The money from the Coalfields Regeneration Trust will be used by
Newcastle Community Transport to buy a new wheelchair-accessible
minibus to replace its oldest vehicle.
The use of the new bus will be mainly for people in coalfield
communities, including Cross Heath, Knutton and Silverdale,
Holditch, Stoke and Trent Vale and parts of Bradwell.
The NCT has provided a door-to-door transport service for people
with mobility problems in the Newcastle area for 35 years.
