After years of being divided into two divisions, all of Wyoming's
varsity-level American Legion Baseball teams will compete for a
single state title this summer.
The change stems from Wyoming's peers at the regional level
grousing about the Cowboy State's top champion being decided in a
tourney featuring less than eight teams.
"There's an expectation, nationally, that every state's teams
focus on trying to win that regional bid," said Tagg Lain, who has
guided Cheyenne Post 6 to eight state titles and three regional
runner-up finishes.
