Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares are the same the world over, whether
in this country or the other side of the Atlantic. Chefs are
disillusioned, disinterested or disgusting - sometimes all three.
The restaurants are usually dirty and old-fashioned or (worse still)
have ludicrously themed decor.
Staff are badly trained and can't be bothered to provide anything
near a reasonable service.
As for the menus, they are usually long and over-complicated and
ignore the delights of locally-sourced produce. Often food is out of
date, or pre-packaged. Always it's badly cooked and badly presented.
You would think the constant repetition of this litany of
failures would make Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares ...
