Flood warnings issued earlier today for the Hornsea, Withernsea, Easington and Kilnsea areas have been reduced to flood watches.

A combination of spring tides, the highest that can hit the East Yorkshire coast, and strong winds, sparked the flood alerts.

An Environment Agency spokeswoman said flood warnings meant that people and their property were at risk.
