There's a new church service in Sissonville that mixes casual
attire with an upbeat style of inspirational music.
Humphreys United Methodist Church has started a contemporary
worship service called The Gathering Place, a come-as-you-are get-
together that offers an alternative to traditional, Sunday morning
worship services.
It meets at 7 p.m. on the first Saturday of each month at the
church, 8240 Sissonville Drive, near the old Sissonville Middle
School.
Church member Tom Miller and his wife, Rhondell, organized the
new service, which debuted last October.
The Gathering Place is an apt name, because "it's just a time for
