Article: Millersville Seeks Insurance Solution

As in many Lancaster County municipalities wrestling with health insurance, Millersville Borough officials are struggling to find an affordable way to keep their employees covered.

At a Jan. 27 meeting, council said the borough is considering joining an intergovernmental insurance cooperative, in which government entities band together to negotiate health insurance coverage at a lower cost.

Borough manager Ed Arnold said Millersville is in the "investigation phase," and the matter should come up for a vote by the end of February.
