A Plucky pensioner attended a service to celebrate the efforts
of Lincolnshire Land Army girls.
Martha Stephens (84), of Grimsby's Grange estate, received a
medal for her service in the Second World War.
After receiving her medal last year - 63 years after the war
ended - she attended a commemorative service at Lincoln Cathedral
for local women who served in the Land Army.
Mrs Stephens, a widow who has three children, said: "It was great
to receive the medal. I keep it in its box and every time someone
comes to see me, I always show them it.
