North Staffs: A community order for 12 months with drug
rehabilitation was imposed by North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court
on Simon Roper.
The defendant, of High Street, Silverdale, had pleaded guilty to
stealing perfume valued pounds321 from Debenhams, in Hanley, in
November last year.
He also pleaded guilty to burglary of a room at Staffordshire
University in which a bag was taken also in November last year, and
stealing a mobile phone from the Moat House Hotel, in Festival Park,
in October last year.
He asked for five other offences to be taken into consideration.
The defendant was ordered to pay compensation totalling
pounds542.
