Motorists are being advised all roads in East Yorkshire are passable, but with caution.

The Met Office issued a severe weather warning for widespread icy roads across the Yorkshire and Humber area.

But Inspector Mark Bishop, of Humberside Police, said: "All roads within the county are passable but with extreme care."

The senior officer said crews worked through the night to remove abandoned vehicles from a number of routes in East Yorkshire.

A spokeswoman for Bus Call, which provides inforamtion on bus services in the region, said: "There are no major problems. EYMS say they are running as well as they can, given the weather.
