Plans for a new training ground for Hull FC and a health and
lifestyle centre for the city have been backed unanimously by Hull's
NHS Board.
The board has agreed to invest pounds1m in the project, which is
earmarked for a site in Inglemire Lane, north Hull, as first
reported on the Mail's website yesterday.
Hull FC will donate pounds1.9m and Hull University will donate
the land, worth about pounds1m.
Hull FC chief executive James Rule was delighted with NHS Hull's
support, which would see the club move from Brantingham Park,
Elloughton, to the new north Hull site.
He said: "This is without doubt one of the most exciting off-
