John is a man of grandfather years, very fit, and a sun lover. So
it seemed only natural in the recent heatwave for him to combine a
bit of sunbathing at his rural home with that ever-present chore of
mowing the lawns. John, in his birthday suit and - with due
deference to health and safety issues - a very large pair of ear
muffs, was proceeding in an orderly fashion up and down the lawn.
The unexpected visitors did not bother him in the slightest. In
fact, courtesy of the muffs, he didn't even know they were there.
His wife, however, making profuse apologies, was not amused.
