Joseph L. Fisher MD, 96, St. Joseph, passed away Thursday, Feb.
19, 2009, at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Fisher was born Dec. 11, 1912, in Urich, Mo., to Adam and
Sarah (Nettie) Fisher.
He graduated from the University of Missouri, Columbia, and
attended Medical School at the University of Missouri. He served his
internship in St. Louis, Mo., specializing in Radiology, completing
his residency in New York. He later moved to St. Joseph and went
into practice with Arthur McGlaughlin.
In the late 1950s, he built the Fisher Clinic at 7th and Jules.
Dr. Fisher practiced until his retirement in the 1990s.
Dr. Fisher was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife,
Annabel Boyer ...
