No one injured in Big Bear plane crash

A small plane crashed near the Big Bear Dam on Friday afternoon while on its way to Big Bear Airport from San Bernardino International Airport.

No one was injured in the 1:30 p.m. crash.

There were two people on board the 1978 Cessna 172 that crashed about 10 miles west of the airport. Though the plane was "substantially damaged," the two people on board refused medical treatment, said Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor.

The two people were airlifted from the crash siite by helicopter.

The cause of the crash is not yet known.
