Eating disorder sufferers and their carers are being encouraged to get help from a city charity as part of a national awareness week.

Seed Eating Disorders Support Services is based at Centre 88 in Saner Street, west Hull.

It has helped more than 700 people with eating disorders across Yorkshire since it was established in 2000.

Co-founder Marg Oaten, 57, of east Hull, said the awareness week ends on Saturday.

She said: "It's about getting the message out that people don't have to suffer in isolation and there is help.

"It's about getting a network of support around a person. We are not there to judge. We are there to support, give information and help people go forward.
