Plymouth Albion's 'District of Origin' coaching programme has
received high praise from the RFU's Community Rugby Department.
The project, one of many which Albion run in the city and the
surrounding areas, is one where the club's players train youngsters
both in schools and at Brickfields for five weeks.
Some of the aspiring rugby stars are then selected to form
district sides who take part in a tournament at Brickfields.
A letter from Andrew Scoular, community rugby director for Rugby
Football Development Limited, not only praised the project, but also
said that they would encourage other clubs to follow Albion's lead.
