You can put an indefinite hold on the last "last call" at the
North Side's Penn Brewery.
On a day that was scheduled to mark the shutdown of the
restaurant and microbrewery at 800 Vinial St, a last minute
agreement on a five-year lease at a "much more reasonable rate" was
announced by the eatery president Len Caric. The new lease with an
option for another five-year extension also means that brewing
operations will resume as soon as possible.
Caric said the last minute negotiations with David Malone of DLB
Management came as a result of efforts by Mark Fatla, executive
director of the Northside Leadership Conference.
