Here's some good news for drivers who regularly avoid the Dulles
Greenway when traveling between Leesburg and Ashburn.
The Virginia Department of Transportation announced Thursday that
this month its crews will begin paving the last gravel portion of
Sycolin Road, including about 1.3 miles between Shreve Mill Road and
Goose Creek near Belmont Ridge Road.
More than 3,200 cars travel Sycolin Road each day, according to
VDOT officials, and that number is expected to grow to 10,000
vehicles a day by 2020.
