Article: Braintree man jailed for child porn ; Arrested at Quincy hotel, sentenced to 3 years in prison

BRAINTREE - A Braintree man has been sent to prison for three years on child pornography charges.

William F. McKinley, 49, was arrested in July 2007 at the Boston Marriott Quincy Hotel, where he was in a room with a 16-year-old boy.

Quincy police officer Danny Church was working a private detail at the hotel and grew suspicious after seeing McKinley and the teen acting affectionately in the lobby on the night of the arrest.

The officer quickly learned that a federal agency had red- flagged McKinley that April after cell phone and Internet records showed he offered "gifts" to a 14-year-old in exchange for sex.
