Television and newspaper ads featuring Kanawha County sheriff's deputies touting funding brought in by Tri-State Racetrack & Gaming Center are above-board, sheriff's officials said.

Rainmaker Media Group in Charleston recently began running television and print advertisements for Tri-State Racetrack in Nitro. The ads feature uniformed deputies, and say that revenue from table gaming at the racetrack will provide $1 million in funding for public safety in Kanawha County.
