Icelandic-caught fish has been landed in Grimsby for the first
time in 12 years, sparking a wave of excitement that trawlers could
once again be a familiar sight at the town's docks.
The arrival of the MV Sturla added an extra 100 tonnes of fresh
fish to yesterday's auction, making it the busiest day of the year
so far at Grimsby Fish Market.
It comes as the industry shows resilience in the face of
recession, with more people turning to the nation's favourite meal -
while the town also plays a key role in helping a battered Icelandic
economy return to its business roots.
