A contractor is suing the developer of the Northgate condominium
project, Steven R. Messner, for breach of contract and fraud.
In addition, Susquehanna Bank is suing Messner for allegedly
defaulting on his $2.4 million mortgage on the city property.
The bank's mortgage foreclosure complaint was filed Feb. 27 in
Lancaster County Court.
The earlier complaint against Messner and his company, Messner
Enterprises Northgate Inc., was filed at the courthouse Jan. 22 by
Kreider & Diller Builders, Lancaster.
That lawsuit demands a jury trial and $1,010,693 in compensation
for labor, materials and supplies.
