Article: 3 Defy Gop In Manheim Township ; Flanagan, Bohan, Martin File For Commissioner Pushes Experience Endorsement Flap

A few weeks after being snubbed by the Manheim Township Republican Committee in his bid to win endorsement for a third term, incumbent township Commissioner J. Michael Flanagan confirmed last week that he's running again.

And he's being joined by two others who also failed to get the GOP nod: Jim Bohan and retired township manager Jim Martin. The three have been endorsed by a newly formed political action committee, Citizen Coalition for Effective Government.

Flanagan, Bohan and Martin have filed with the county Board of Elections as Republican candidates for commissioner in the May primary, where they will face the trio of hopefuls endorsed by the party: incumbent ...
