Ou would be unwise to underestimate the prospects of the scary
Harriet Harman to lead the Labour Party, especially if Gordon Brown
steps down in the event of a Tory victory at the next General
Election. And do not be fooled by the wide-eyed expressions of
innocent denial from this determined lady whenever the question of
her leadership ambitions are raised.
She is not popular in the Labour Party. Indeed she is known
behind her back by her own colleagues as "that woman" - just as
Margaret Thatcher was years ago. But it must not be forgotten that
despite the hackles she causes to rise among fellow MPs, she still
succeeded to the deputy leadership of the party some months ago.
