MUSIC SCENE
Anna Bulbrook has been playing violin since she was 4, immersing
herself in classical music, then switching to the jazz band while
attending Milton Academy.
But few would have predicted she'd be part of one of the most
hyped rock bands of 2009, playing viola with the Los Angeles quintet
known as Airborne Toxic Event.
Bulbrook and Airborne Toxic Event headline a sold-out show at the
Paradise in Boston on Saturday night.
The band's eponymous debut album was released on the independent
West Coast label Majordomo in August to immediate acclaim.
Boston rock fans first heard the band a few months ago, when they
came through town as openers for Franz Ferdinand.
