Article: It is love 30 for city club St Budeaux

Tennis: St Budeaux Tennis Club are offering reduced membership fees for 2009 as part of their 30th anniversary celebrations.

The club was formed in 1979 by Herald tennis correspondent David Williams, who took over the then derelict council courts on Verna Road.

Since then, St Budeaux has enjoyed steady growth, and it now boasts eight teams - four men's and four ladies.

The teams compete in the Plymouth and District League.

In addition, the St Budeaux club has access to three courts, two of which are floodlit, as well as a modern clubhouse.
