Plymouth Argyle's reserve team had substitute Joe Mason to thank
for two late goals which gave them a 2-0 win over AFC Bournemouth at
Ladysmead, Tiverton, yesterday afternoon.
The victory came in what was a second Totesport.com Combination
fixture in three days for the Pilgrims. They had chosen a very
experienced reserve side for Tuesday's 2-0 win over Bristol City at
Home Park. Yesterday, though, they sent out what was in effect a
third XI.
Midfielder Yoann Folly and winger Dan Smith were the only
Plymouth players with any Coca-Cola Championship experience. Six
members of the Argyle line-up were apprentices, and they were up
against a Bournemouth team also well stocked with youngsters.
