A.K. Smiley Public Library is pleased to announce the upcoming sixth annual Family Day at Smiley Library. Family Day is an outreach program of the library to promote children's literature, art through literature and music, and the library's many services. This program was spearheaded in 2003 by Charlotte Huck and was then known as "School Days." It evolved to "Family Day" in 2004.

Parents, bring your kindergarten through fifth-grade children to this annual major event. The sixth annual Family Day will be Saturday, Oct. 10, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring award-winning author and illustrator Daniel San Souci.
