Maryland's highest court Monday issued an order postponing the
auction of the old Lebow garment factory in midtown Baltimore's up-
and-coming Station North arts district.
The auction was scheduled for Tuesday after a district court in
January appointed the Baltimore nonprofit corporation One House At A
Time Inc. as a receiver for the 120,000-square-foot warehouse in
response to repeated housing code violations and stalled
redevelopment effort on the part of its owner.
"As of right now, the auction has been indefinitely suspended,"
said Emily Aracil, managing director of One House At A Time. "We
don't have an auction date for it set."
