The answers can be found with Torrance-based Luminit, a company
whose products shape light using sheets of plastic imprinted with
holographic structures.
Luminit makes light-shaping diffusers, or LSD, that shape light
depending on the use.
Light diffusing technology is used in everyday devices, including
cell phones, televisions, medical lasers and architectural lighting.
