4 Indian army troopers, 2 militants killed in gunfight in India- controlled Kashmir

SRINAGAR, India-controlled Kashmir, March 22 (Xinhua) -- An army officer of the rank of major, three troopers of the Indian army and two militants were killed, while six other troopers were injured in the ongoing gunfights in the frontier district of Kupwara, close to line of control(LoC) in India-controlled Kashmir, Indian army Sunday said.

The army spokesperson told Xinhua that the gunfight took place in Vilgam area inside Hafruda forest of Kupwara.
