Multi-million pound plans to develop Exeter College have been put
on hold indefinitely, while funding for Exeter's new science park
could also be in doubt.
The college was set to spend pounds100m on a technology academy
and redeveloping its current site next year.
But now the Learning and Skills Council (LSC), which distributes
funds to further education colleges, has announced a freeze on
capital spending, affecting 144 colleges across the country,
including Exeter College.
Most of funding for the Exeter College development was to come
from the organisation.
