PROVO -- Utah County residents Thursday voiced varying degrees of
support, concern or displeasure for plans to revitalize Utah Lake.
A master plan, now in its final draft, was created to guide the
Utah Lake Commission and other participating agencies in making
decisions affecting the lake for the next 10 years. Through its
outlined policies, the plan would provide those organizations with a
vision and a management strategy for the lake in regard to
recreation, natural resources, land use, shoreline protection and
transportation.
The document would also serve as the guiding document for the
Utah Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands, which manages the
Utah Lake bed under the public trust ...
