FAIRBORN -- This weekend, it's not just about wins or losses,
it's about the fans.
As the Dayton Bombers host the Trenton Devils for their final two
home games of the season, there is a full slate of activities on and
off the ice for Fan Appreciation Weekend.
The playoffs have been a long shot for weeks. Dayton is 10 points
out of fourth place with only five games remaining. Even if they
don't advance to the postseason, the Bombers could play spoiler for
several teams. They face Trenton, Elmira and Wheeling in the next
week, all teams vying for one of four North Division playoff berths.
But that's not what coach Bill McDonald thinks will motivate his
players.
