1 A new view of Picasso
The Picasso Museum in Malaga celebrates the 125th anniversary of
the artist's birth this year with two new exhibitions. From mid-
March, visitors can catch "The Picassos from Antibes", a collection
of 73 paintings, drawings, graphic works, sculptures and ceramics
that captures the joie de vivre of post-war France. Many of the works
were created in Chateau Grimaldi, the castle in Antibes where Picasso
had a studio and which, in 1966, became the first museum in France
dedicated to the artist - these works forming the backbone of its
collection. The other exhibition, "Picasso: The Female Figure", runs
from 2 October.
