A Scunthorpe teenager has been given a suspended prison sentence
for a 'cowardly' attack on a 16-year-old youth.
Andrew Thackeray, of Beesby Road, Scunthorpe, was sentenced to 28
weeks custody, suspended for 18 months, 12 months supervision order
and carry out 120 hours unpaid work.
Thackeray attacked the young victim on Bottesford Lane Scunthorpe
at about 11.15pm on May 23 last year, Grimsby Crown Court heard on
Friday.
Prosecutor David Cammies said the victim had told one of
Thackeray's friends to stop attacking his friend when Thackeray, and
another youth, chased him and beat him unconscious.
