It was a carnival for the senses:

Pulsing music, flashing spotlights,

shadow images, scenes on two-story

screens, a herky-jerky silver robot

dancer and college students in colorful original designs descending an open one-story stairway to model-strut the red carpet runway.

The building itself, the intriguing Edith Kinney Gaylord Cornerstone Arts Center, was more than just a setting. It was an integral part of the Feb. 6 Fifth Annual Colorado College Fashion Show.

An exuberant, sold-out, mainly CC crowd cheered director Leslie Kinson's senior project with its more than two hours of fashion conceived by 30 designers from the CC Sewing Club, founded by Kinson when she was a freshman. ...
