Article: Furnishings From Doneckers Guest House For Sale Saturday

When Doneckers opened its first guest house in 1984, the bed-and- breakfast inn stood for the conglomerate's elegant hospitality.

But when the guest house closed in November, that too was symbolic, representing the last of the family businesses to shut its doors.

Now another event will occur there, one that reflects the ongoing effort to divest the parts of the once-bustling Ephrata empire.

Doneckers will sell the furnishings of that original guest house, 318-324 N. State St., on Saturday from noon to 4 p.m.

The sale - offering everything from beds and night stands to shower curtains and trash cans - will be held at the property.
