ONTARIO - By 2030, air traffic is expected to grow from 7 million
passengers a year to 30 million passengers annually at the airport.
And as passenger volume goes up, so too is cargo expected to grow
in the next two decades.
In anticipation of that growth, airport officials and city staff
have worked to fill underutilized land in the northwest section of
the airport, which includes the West End cargo parking area and a
portion of the former Lockheed site, said Maria Tesoro-Fermin,
spokeswoman for LA/Ontario International Airport.
"Although there has been a decrease in cargo and passengers we
