Shaken infant dies; violence, stress linked
A 2-month-old boy who was shaken last weekend died Wednesday,
according to Milwaukee Police Department spokeswoman Anne E.
Schwartz.
Dreshawn L. Lewis' death is being investigated as a homicide,
Schwartz said in an e-mail. The Police Department is preparing to
send the case to the district attorney's office for possible charges
against a female, Schwartz said.
Dreshawn was injured at a home in the 600 block of W. Chambers
St. about 9 a.m. Sunday, Schwartz said.
News of the boy's death came after Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett
and Police Chief Edward Flynn held a news conference on the increase
in domestic violence in Milwaukee, which ...
